VIRTEL Web Access
VIRTEL Web Access extends mainframe applications (CICS, IMS, Natural, TSO, etc) to standard Web browsers, instantly: a typical installation takes only about two hours.
Virtel is a two-tier 100%-mainframe-based solution that only need pure web clients.
Virtel can be deployed without changing the application code or deploying anything outside the mainframe.
Thus the implementation of VIRTEL is very easy:
Simplicity:

Nothing to install, support, or upgrade on the clients: simply point the client’s standard browser to a pre-defined VIRTEL URL to access the logon menu

No servers or middleware to install, support, or upgrade between mainframe and clients

Installation, development, control, and support are fully centralized on the mainframe
Low impact - Low Risk:

VIRTEL requires no modification to the transaction monitor or application code.

VIRTEL coexists with native or emulated 3270 and any other web-to-host connectors. And VIRTEL Free Starter Edition lets you try before you buy.
VIRTEL Web Modernization
VIRTEL Web Modernization allows adding a new dynamic Web 2.0 user interface with AJAX technology and REST architecture to legacy 3270 applications.
VIRTEL Screen Redesigner, a workstation-based productivity tool supplied with VIRTEL Web Modernization, allows mainframe developers that are familiar with the 3270 applications to convert the 3270 screen fields to Web fields such as check boxes, PFK buttons, tabs, drop-down lists, calendars, tables, function calls, etc, and use plain-English literals instead of 3270 application codes. Although the deliverable of the conversion is a VIRTEL HTML presentation template with imbedded JavaScript and VIRTEL tags, there is no need to understand HTML, JavaScript, or the VIRTEL tags to convert the fields when using VIRTEL Screen Designer.
VIRTEL Web Integration
VIRTEL Web Integration allows establishing simple, strong, secure, and fast bi-directional connections between mainframe and web applications, to integrate the mainframe applications and data to SOA, Web Oriented Architectures or WebSphere.
